  • WDC Helsinki 2012

    The World Design Capital is a city promotion project celebrating the merits of design. Held biennially, it seeks to highlight the accomplishments of cities that are truly leveraging design as a tool to improve their social, cultural and economic climate throughout a yearlong programme of design-related events. 

    In the beginning of 2009, Kokoro & Moi was chosen to design The World Design Capital 2012 application for the city of Helsinki, taking their home city to the finals together with the city of Eindhoven in a competition with 46 cities applying to. From the final duo, Helsinki was designated as the World Design Capital 2012 at the Icsid World Design Congress in Singapore, November 2009. 

    After successful work in the application phase, Kokoro & Moi is continuing the project with the city of Helsinki and developing an open identity concept and communication design for the year 2012.

  • Helsinki Regional Transport Authority

    Helsinki Regional Transport Authority is the result of a recent coalition of Helsinki City Transport and Helsinki Metropolitan Area Council, two main operators in the field of local public transportation in the capital region. Kokoro & Moi is responsible for the visual identity of the new company extending from the logo to information graphics and publications, and from advertising to environments, guidelines for photography and the appearance of the vehicles, among other things.

  • PLAYFUL – New Finnish Design

    The PLAYFUL – New Finnish Design exhibition presented fresh concepts from individual designers and design companies during the Meatpacking District Design event held in New York in 2009. The focus of the event was on play and creativity as elementary forces in human life. Kokoro & Moi is responsible for the PLAYFUL identity as well as the art direction of all promotional material from exhibition graphics to the website.

  • Kite and Trampoline

    Kite and Trampoline, a new design label by Kokoro & Moi, focuses on print design for fashion, interiors and products. Kite and Trampoline's first collection was launced at the Hirameki exhibition during Tokyo Designers Week, October 29 – November 7, 2010, in form of wall coverings such as wallpapers, posters and paper tiles.

  • Escalator Records

    Escalator Records is a Japanese record label, record store and café in Shibuya, Tokyo. The label hosts artists such as Yukari Fresh, Miniflex and Avalon. Kokoro & Moi designed the identity for the record label and Escalator Café, graphics and music packaging for two compilation series We Are Escalator Records and We Were Escalator Records as well as prints for the label's clothing line.
