Janine Rewell is a Helsinki-based illustrator and graphic designer. She studied at the University of Art and Design Helsinki as well as the Rhode Island School of Design, and has worked as a freelancer since graduating. Janine's illustrations won a bronze Design Lion at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival 2009 and the following year she was selected by PRINT for its annual New Visual Artists review, a publication highlighting twenty international rising designers under the age of 30. In 2011, Janine received the prestigious Junior of the Year award at the Finnish Best of the Year advertising and design competition. In addition to taking part in many group exhibitions, she has held solo exhibitions in Barcelona and Poland. Inspired by the geometry of nature, decorative details and intense colours, Janine's designs are an enchanting mix of Scandinavian design and Slavic folk art.
